Twenty-one days before the 9th of Av (a day when we remember the destruction of the Holy Temple) comes a day known in the Jewish calendar as the 17th of Tammuz. This day is noteworthy because on it Moses descended from Mount Sinai, only to smash the tablets of G-d to the ground in utter dismay as he saw the nation of Israel worshiping a molded calf. In later history, the 17th of Tammuz is when the Roman armies breached the city walls of Jerusalem.

The 17th of Tammuz is also a day of fasting, when Jews around the world begin to prepare themselves for three weeks (21 days) known in Hebrew as the "Bein HaMetzarim-(a time) between the Dire Straits." For the Jewish people, this is a time of deep introspection, reflection, and remembrance.
What is The 21 Days about?
What to Expect
We'll be coming to you live from Israel! Join with us for a special time of hearing from Israelis and then a time of prayer. Each day you'll have the opportunity to join us, starting at 12PM EDT.

Our desire for these 21 days is that we would all gain a deeper understanding of God's plan of restoration and reconciliation for Jews and Christians alike. Tragically, Christianity has played a part in causing much suffering for the Jewish People over the past 2,000 years. Through prayer we seek to repent of wrong attitudes toward the Jewish People, and come into an understanding of what our role is in blessing and strengthening them.

We want to see these days of mourning be turned into days of rejoicing, as prophesied in Zechariah 8!
“Thus says the Lord of hosts:
‘The fast of the fourth month, The fast of the fifth,
The fast of the seventh, And the fast of the tenth,
Shall be joy and gladness and cheerful feasts
For the house of Judah.
Therefore love truth and peace.’"
We invite you to join us for this special time of repentance and humility—as we seek the Lord together. And as Israel goes through yet another difficult season, we have an opportunity to come alongside and strengthen them.
Introducing: The Dire Straits of Redemption
A 21-day journey to transform Jewish and Christian relations
The book "The Dire Straits of Redemption" is about waking Christians to join the Jewish people in what I call "right relationship." After 2000 years of bad blood between Jews and Christians, this book hopes to help be a balm that can bind broken hearts and bring brothers together again. Join our Jewish brothers and sisters in prayer and hope for the next 21 days (July 23-August 13).
